The Photovoltaic power control (PPC/50) is a versatile, industrial quality controller for the efficient use of PV energy and the protection
of expensive batteries.
The PPC/50 consists of a series-relay battery charge regulator with low voltage disconnect, battery, array, and load circuit breakers, system
status lights and digital metering. A provision is made for monitoring an external shunt. The PPC/50 standard model is housed in an indoor enclosure. Optional NEMA 3R and NEMA 4X exclosures are available. The units
terminal block is rated for up to 6 gauge wire.

Sweeping Pulse Technology is a patented, variable frequency, variable boost voltage process guaranteed to dissolve sulfate crystals back into
the battery's electrolyte solution. All lead-acid batteries are adversely affected by the buildup of these deposits. As they collect on battery plates they restrict the flow of electrons and "lock away"
active material required for normal operation. As this barrier becomes thicker and thicker, the battery's ability to accept a charge or deliver energy is drastically diminished, resulting in the perception that the
battery is no longer usable.
Sweeping Pulse Technology allows the user to electronically dissolve sulfation formations back into the electrolyte solution without taking
the battery out of service. Most importantly, if a new battery is equipped with Sweeping Pulse Technology it will always remain free and clean of sulfate crystals allowing it to operate unhampered at full capacity.
This remarkable process generates no heat and can in no way harm the battery itself.
